Wi-Fi device discovery adapter selection
adb's own mDNS discovery picks a network interface by itself and can't be told
otherwise — on a Mac with several networks it may watch the wrong one. This
release adds a Wi-Fi device discovery setting (Updates → adb):- Pick a specific network adapter and the app browses Bonjour for
wireless-debugging devices (_adb-tls-connect/_adb-tls-pairing) on that
adapter itself, auto-connecting the paired devices it finds (30 s retry
cooldown per endpoint). QR pairing uses the same adapter-pinned discovery. - A live status list under the picker shows every service found on the adapter
and the outcome of the last connect attempt ("connected", "Connection
refused", "Operation timed out", …), so an unreachable device shows why
instead of silently never appearing. - Automatic (default) keeps the previous behavior: discovery is left to the
adb server.
Note: browsing the local network triggers the macOS Local Network permission
prompt once (macOS 15+).Downloads

- Devices with an mDNS name collision no longer show up as "Unknown". When a device
advertises itself twice over wireless debugging, adb reports its transport name with a
(2)suffix — so the serial contains a space. Theadb devices -lparser split the line
on whitespace, truncating the serial and mistaking the suffix for the transport state, so
the device was reported as "Device is in an unrecognized state" and could not be connected.
The state is now located by matching the known state values, and the full serial (spaces
included) is preserved.
Dev-signed, not notarized — macOS may show a Gatekeeper prompt on first launch.

Drag files straight onto the mirrored screen:
- APKs install via
adb install -r(reinstall, app data kept). - Everything else is copied to the device's
Downloadfolder. - Drop several files at once — they're transferred one after another.
Works in the attached pane and in a detached window. While a drag hovers, the
stream shows a highlight and tells you what will happen; a status pill reports
progress and the result, and the full detail (including adb's own output) lands
in the session log in the details sidebar.Drops are only accepted while a device is actually streaming, so a drag onto an
idle or connecting device shows the "no drop" cursor rather than failing silently.
Folders are refused — recursive push isn't supported yet.The destination is a single constant (
DropPath.pushDirectory) if you want to
retarget it.Downloads

- Copy device screenshot to clipboard — press ⌘⇧S (or the new camera button in the session header) to capture a full-resolution screenshot straight from the device and copy it to the Mac clipboard. Works in both the attached pane and the detached window, and pastes into any app (PNG + TIFF).
The capture uses
adb exec-out screencap -p, so it's a clean image from the device — independent of the H.264 mirror stream and free of compression artifacts. Distinct from the existing ⌘C / ⌥C, which mirror the device's own clipboard.Downloads

- Device state detection. The app now recognizes the transport states adb reports (unauthorized, offline, authorizing, recovery, bootloader, sideload) and shows a reason banner in the session pane explaining why a device can't be connected — e.g. "tap Allow on the USB-debugging prompt." The banner clears automatically once the device becomes ready.
- In-app app updater. ScrcpyManager can now update itself from the ForgeJo releases. A new "App" tab in the Updates panel shows the current and latest version, release notes, and an "Update & Relaunch" button that downloads the new build, swaps the app, and relaunches. Auto-check is on by default; automatic download-and-relaunch is an opt-in toggle.
- Update banners now push the window content down instead of overlaying it.
- Refreshed the bundled scrcpy-server and adb.

- Add a copy button next to the device id in the session header. Copies the adb transport id (serial), valid for both USB and wireless connections, with a checkmark confirmation. Fixed-width icon frame keeps the header from shifting when the glyph swaps.

- Detached window now locks to the device's aspect ratio — it's sized to fit on detach, stays proportional while resizing, and follows the device through rotation.
- The attached video pane is constrained to the same aspect ratio, so the live frame no longer sits inside black letterbox bars.
Dev-signed, not notarized — macOS may show a Gatekeeper prompt on first launch.

- Updates panel split into two tabs — scrcpy-server and adb — each with its own version, check/update button, and preferences.
- In-app update notifications for adb — the top banner now also surfaces available adb updates (and the post-update confirmation); its View button opens the matching tab.
- Auto-detach is now per-device only — the global toggle was removed (matching per-device auto-connect).
App and bundled adb are dev-signed (not notarized) — Gatekeeper may prompt on first launch.

- Rename devices for easy recognition — right-click a device in the sidebar → Rename. The custom name overrides the display name everywhere; the detail pane still shows the original model + serial.
- Per-device auto-connect — replaces the global toggle. Enable it per device in the detail pane; opted-in devices connect automatically when they appear.
- Connection-state indicator — the sidebar dot is now green when streaming, amber while connecting, and gray when disconnected.
App and bundled adb are dev-signed (not notarized) — Gatekeeper may prompt on first launch.
